Privacy Policy

SMB Discovery (smbdiscovery.com) is operated by Buckshot Digital Sales Inc., an Ontario, Canada company. You can reach us at info@bdsalesinc.ca.

This policy covers smbdiscovery.com, the marketing site and dashboard for the SMB Discovery platform. It does not cover the landing pages, blogs, or custom domains we generate for our business customers; those are our customers' own sites, with their own policies.

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your name, email, and the business details you enter during onboarding. When you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment; we do not store your card number. We use Clerk for sign-in and account management. We keep basic usage data (for example, how many blog posts or SEO pages you have generated) to enforce plan limits.

Cookies and advertising measurement

The marketing site and our signup, onboarding, and billing pages use OpenAI's advertising measurement pixel to measure whether ads shown in ChatGPT lead to sign-ups on SMB Discovery. This sets a first-party cookie named __oppref that lasts 30 days, and it may hash contact details you enter on our site (for example, your email address) before sending them to OpenAI for matching, so that OpenAI can measure ad effectiveness without seeing the details themselves. This pixel is not used on our customers' own landing pages, blogs, or custom domains, and it is not used anywhere inside the product once you are past sign-up and billing.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the service you signed up for, to bill you, to send you account and billing emails, and to measure whether our own advertising is working. We do not sell your personal information.
